Howie Mandel – The Real Deal
Thursday night, venerable comedian and OCD-stricken performer Howie Mandel appeared at the California State Fair on the Main Stage. Using his frenetic pacing and ADHD-like changes in subjects, Mandel was able to keep the audience wondering just where he was going to go next.

Diane Ford, a veteran of over l00 notional television shows, has appeared on three HBO specials. She has been nominated eleven years in a row for Comedienne of the Year by the American Comedy Awards. Her own show, “Diane Ford’s Cosmopolitan Comedy” completed a successful three month run of the Desert Inn in Las Vegas. It also played at Cesar’s Lake Tahoe and in Atlantic City.

Some comics wait for their big break, not Rod, he is making his big break. In 2001 he acted and executive produced his first feature film “Pride & Loyalty,” which started its pay per view release June 2002. It starred an array of soap stars from “One Life to Live,” “Guiding Light,” and “All My Children” including: Marj Dusay, Gina Tognoni, John Bolger and Emmy nominated Rebecca Budig.

Tom Papa was personally chosen by Jerry Seinfeld to serve as host of NBC’s “The Marriage Ref” and has toured with him for the past eight years. As a veteran standup comedian, Papa has recorded two standup specials on Comedy Central and Steven Soderbergh (“Oceans 11”) is directing his next special due later this year. A familiar face to late night television, Papa has made numerous appearances on the “Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” “Late Night with Conan O’Brien” and “Late Show with David Letterman.”

Ahmed Ahmed was born in Helwan, Egypt on June 27th, 1970. His parents immigrated to the U.S. when he was one month old and he grew up in Riverside, CA. He moved to Hollywood when he was 19 years old to pursue a career as an actor and stand-up comedian. He attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts.

Scott Bowman is one of the few surviving original native San Diegans. The rest have been hunted to extinction. He has been performing since 1994 and is a local favorite. Scott has opened for Willie Nelson, Craig Shoemaker, Richard Jeni and Pauli Shore and has performed at The Comedy Store, The Comedy Palace, The Improv, The Laugh Factory, The Gold River Casino and dozens of other comedy clubs and college campuses.
