Adam Sandler Gets A Star

Hollywood’s Walk Of Fame is adding another star to its celebrity constellation. The 2431st star to honor Adam Sandler’s achievements will be received on Tuesday, February 1 at 11:30 a.m. The ceremony is just in time for Sandler’s new film Just Go With It, in theaters February 11.

Born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in Manchester NH, Sandler’s passion for comedy started with his performances at a Boston comedy club at the age of 17. He was later spotted by Dennis Miller, who invited him to join the Saturday Night Live team, making him a regular for five seasons.

Sandler’s movies have grossed close to 40 billion dollars worldwide, making him number four highest-paid actor after Johnny Depp, Ben Stiller and Tom Hanks according to Forbes. His recent film Grown Ups, which raked in 217 million dollars, became the highest-grossing movie in his career.
