Andy Dick May Have Sexual Abuse Charges Excused

Comedian Andy Dick has agreed to enter a pretrial program that – if successfully completed - will excuse him from sexual abuse charges that arose from a 2010 nightclub incident. Dick is known for his MTV program The Andy Dick Show and his roles in films such as Dude, Where’s My Car? and Old School.
LaughSpin reported that in 2011 Dick was sued for grabbing a bouncer’s crotch as well as for rubbing his genitals on the side of a man’s head during a comedy club performance in Dallas, Texas.
There are several requirements that Dick must uphold to successfully complete the program. He cannot be arrested or be caught with drugs in his possession; he must remain employed, and comply to random drug tests for the next six months. Dick must also report to the county prosecutor’s office if he is arrested or has an encounter with the police.
“If [Andy Dick] doesn’t do that ….we get to start from scratch and we get to try the case,” West Virginia’s Cabell County assistant prosecutor Corky Hammers said.
There was a status hearing Monday in the county circuit court, however Dick was not present.
In an interview with LaughSpin, Dick stated that he has been sober, clean, and complying to random drug testing.
