Arrested Development: Too Popular, Too Late

arrested development, documentaryAfter creator Mitchell Hurwitz decided enough was enough in 2006 and put a stop to Arrested Development, the show accumulated a cult following like no other.

“I had taken it as far as I felt I could as a series. I told the story I wanted to tell, and we were getting to a point where I think a lot of the actors were ready to move on,” says Hurwitz

Almost seven years later, sparked interest has materialized as the show is picking up an unusual delayed momentum.

Many eager fans may already know that the show, after so many years, is debuting its 4th season exclusively on Netflix instant streaming in Spring 2013. There is also speculation that the new season is leading into a full-length feature film.

What about the documentary?

That’s right kiddies, America’s most dysfunctional family has been dissected under the microscope by aspiring filmmakers Jeff Smith and Neil Lieberman. The filmmakers followed Arrested Development cast and crew around for five years and have sporadically released trailers since the film was first in the making.

Although the documentary release date is not set there is an official final trailer.
