Bob Saget brings you ‘Strange Days’

Bob Saget has a bucket list. Included in that list is going out into the world to document the world’s subcultures. Tonight, his ten-year dream has come to fruition as A&E premiers “Strange Days With Bob Saget” tonight with two 30 minute episodes shown back to back.

Most people know Saget as a talented (and foul mouthed) stand up comedian, the adorable father, Danny Tanner in the TV series “Full House,” the drug addled caricature  on “Entourage” or the cheesy host of “America’s Funniest Home Videos.”

In an interview with Jim Halterman with The Futon Critic. When Saget was asked by Halterman what his “biggest unexpected surprise” in doing this show he replied”

“I think for me to be as emotionally touched by the people as I was, which happened right from the word go and to get the people as invested as they did, which happened with every single episode even the Bigfoot episode, which was just weird. … Then, I also joined a frat at Cornell and that was really fun. It was really cool that people just allowed me to be a part of their world.”

In the first episode, entitled “Riding Shotgun with Hardcore Bikers,” watch as Saget gets a firsthand look at the world of motorcycle clubs as he rides shotgun in a sidecar from Kentucky to Florida with the Iron Order Motorcycle Club.

Then, in episode two, “Let’s Go Squatching — The Search for Bigfoot, ” Saget travels to the Pacific Northwest to search for Bigfoot with the BFRO, the Bigfoot Field Research Organization.

Watch the premier of “Strange Days with Bob Saget” tonight, starting at 10:00 PM.

I was truly looking forward to this show. I embrace the diversity of people and the cultures/sub cultures that are the u.s.a. and the world in which we live. I am very disappointed by Strange Days!

How can one celebrate and discover diversity through the eyes of a bigot? Bob Saget is intolerant and condescending at best. Perhaps Mr. Saget should go home to his own culture where he does not have to pretend to think about, understand, or accept anyone outside of his own tiny world.
