Caleb Medley Becomes A Father

Earlier Tuesday morning the wife of Denver comic Caleb Medley, gave birth to the couple’s first son. Medley was critically injured and placed into a medically induced coma after being shot in the face at the Dark Knight Rises shooting in Aurora, Colorado. Friend of the family, Mike West, told the Associated Press that although Caleb has lost his right eye and suffered brain damaged, he is affixed to a ventilator and has started to both breathe on his own and squeeze people’s hands.
Medley is just one of the 58 injured and 12 killed that James Holmes is accused of shooting Thursday night in Aurora, Colorado.
After the incident, Katie Medley made arrangements to deliver in the same hospital that Medley is in.
“Hugo Jackson Medley was born today at 0711. Katie and Hugo are doing well. Thanks you all for the love, prayers, and support!” Medley’s Facebook fan page reads.
LaughSpin reported that the couple is uninsured and the hospital bills will be paid out of pocket. Setting the couple back up to $2 million, but West has set up a site where individuals can donate money to help the family with the hospital costs.
