The Voice coach is partnering with NBC to develop, produce, and star in a multi-camera comedy loosely based on his life under his newly launched production company, Emerald Productions.

The contract is still getting finalized, but what is known is that Green will be working as executive producer with Everybody Hates Chris’ Ali Leroi.

“Cee Lo is one of the most unique artists that the entertainment world has ever seen,” said Andrew Jameson, a partner at Emerald Productions. “I am excited to be his partner and look forward to extending his creative vision into the television world.”

Green would star as a character that is trying to balance his home life as a producer and recording artist. You could imagine the kinds of shenanigans Green’s character would be getting into.

Besides The Voice, Green has been taking a sudden interest in films. He has already appeared in Sparkle and also voices a mummy in the upcoming film Hotel Transylvania. In addition to that, he plans in releasing a book next year and a new album.

If there’s anyone you should keep an eye on, it’s Cee Lo.
