Comedian Roseanne Barr Calls Nancy Pelosi a Criminal

Comedian and activist Roseanne Barr took a stab at former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Sunday. Barr shared with the world that she feels Pelosi is a criminal, via Twitter.
“Pelosi is a criminal too – insider trader with VISA – she needs to go – vote her out!!” Barr tweeted.
The Huffington Post reported that Barr’s comment referred to the story revealed by CBS’ 60 Minutes in November of 2011, explaining how congressional officials have the ability to legally trade stocks based on obtained nonpublic information. It was reported that Pelosi was influenced by VISA when the legislation limiting credit card swipe fees was before the House; because of this – and I’m sure many other reasons – Barr believes the two-party system is broken.
Barr announced that she would be seeking the Green Party nomination for President back in February.
Barr has also shared her opinion about President Barack Obama and the Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney, calling them empty suits. Barr’s outspoken tweets appear to be working in her favor for her campaign. Huffington Post reported that she is second to frontrunner Jill Stein.
It is apparent that Barr has no problem expressing her opinions, and the public enjoys her openess. On her campaign website, it says, “Americans have voted for the lesser of two evils in past elections, it has not gotten us anywhere.”
Will Barr’s honesty win her this election, or will she be seen as a mouthy comedian taking cheap shots at politicians?
