Dane Cook to Star in New NBC Comedy Series, ‘Next Caller’

A new comedy series is coming to NBC!  The network has picked up its seventh comedy series Next Caller, which will star actor and comedian Dane Cook along with actress Collette Wolfe. The single-camera series involves Cook playing a DJ at a radio station along with his feminist co-host (Wolfe).

According to Laughspin.Com, “The news comes after Cook struck a development deal with the network in September of last year; in March the Next Caller pilot project was announced.”  Next Caller will be Cook’s series television debut. No pressure there!

The new series will join  Matthew Perry’s Go On, 1600 Penn (Jenna Elfman, Bill Pullman, Josh Gad), Animal Practice (Justin Kirk), The New Normal, starring Ellen Barkin and Justin Bartha and finally Save Me, starring Anne Heche.

Cook, who turned 40 earlier this year, has made guest appearances on television shows such as Louie and CBS’ Hawaii Five-0, so he does have some experience.

Stay tuned for the series and let us know, do you plan on watching? In your opinion, is Cook a good or bad actor?
