Fred Armisen on ‘The Front Desk’ and Buying the Second Cheapest Wine

Since the season finale of Saturday Night Live, I’ve been having withdrawals. Lucky for me Fred Armison, cast member of SNL, just so happened to appear on the new web series “The Front Desk.” The phrase “actions speak louder than words” fits perfectly in this third episode of the series. Armisen doesn’t say anything funny and in fact doesn’t speak at all. His character, Bradley Fishbourne, has taken a vow of silence and mistakes the clergyman for an animal abuser. The series has been consistent with the weirdness, but it makes for an amusing three to five minutes of my life.
Finding the right wine could be considered an art form and like many types of art, we just don’t get it. CollegeHumor’s “Second Cheapest Wine” sketch spoofs on the act of ordering the “second” cheapest wine because getting the first cheapest would obviously mean you have no taste whatsoever. The video touches on funny and incredibly true facts like how the, ”Second cheapest wine is in the front of all wine stores, so you don’t have to search while the clerks obviously judge you.” Watch the sketch and learn how to impress your friends by acknowledging the wine’s year, even if it is only the year prior. Don’t pretend like you know anything about wine.
