Funny or Die Mocks Self-Deportation; Kimmel Celebrates Senior Citizens Day

jimmy kimmel, funny or die, senior citizens day, comedian, mitt romney, mexicans, self-deportation, video, computersAt one point Mitt Romney had suggested during the Republican primaries, that although undocumented immigrants shouldn’t be forced to leave the country, they should definitely self-deport. The idea was so mocked that Funny or Die decided to make a video off of it.

Academy Award Nominee Mary Steenburgen plays Jan Brewer, the governor of Arizona who dabbles with this “self-deport” concept. Basically, immigrants (who happen to be all Mexican) are tricked into leaving the country by entering cheap boxes filled with offensive and racists things (to make them feel at home). After entering, the box will slowly yet surely ship them back to where they came from.

Happy Senior Citizens Day! In honor of this holiday Jimmy Kimmel put together a video of some grandmas and grandpas trying to figure out what video chat is. So while you may not have eaten “an entire bowl of hard candy and pretended to not know what a laptop was,” you can go out and appreciate the old folks in your own way. Knitting a pair of socks and falling asleep before 8 p.m. is always an option.
