Melissa Peterman is one of Sacramento Comedy’s favorite comedians! Peterman played “Barbra Jean” on the hit sitcom “Reba” for 6 years. She has also appeared on many television shows including, “Surviving Surburbia,” “Rita Rocks,” “Just Shoot Me,” the ABC pilot “Cedric,” and the Fox pilot “Living with Abandon.”

Melissa has done voiceovers for “The Pitts” and “American Dad.” She recently starred in the independent comedy feature, “Dirty Politics.” Melissa opened the Reba McEntire/Kelly Clarkson sold out tour “2 Worlds, 2 Voices.” Most recently, Melissa can be seen hosting “The Singing Bee” for CMT, as well as hosting the Red Carpet Show at the recent 2010 CMT awards. Melissa has also hosted the series “CMT Comedy Stage” and the special “Redneck Dreams”, for the network. Melissa made her movie debut as hooker # 2 in the Coen Brothers Oscar winning movie “Fargo”. She is committed to many charities including Muhammad Ali’s “Celebrity Fight Night,” Habitat for Humanity, The Red Cross, and the non-profit Buzzworks Theatre Company.

Peterman has recently signed to produce comedy albums with Big Machine Records and is currently filming a sitcom pilot for CMT called “Working Girl.”

For those that have followed our publisher, Steven Bloom’s love affair with Peterman, it is an understatement to say that we are pulling out all of the stops to make our Sacramento Comedy Lover’s Meetup on July 8th a huge success! We are hosting a special party for her first show on Thursday night. Tickets include VIP seating! Join us!
