Comedians Take the Boredom out of National Voter Registration Day

For those of you who do not know, tomorrow will be the first National Voter Registration Day.  What does this have to do with comedy?  Well, some well-known comedians will be helping to get the word out to those who are not yet registered voters.

Some comedians who will be participating in the social media campaign are: Stephen Colbert, George Lopez, Aziz Ansari, Sarah Silverman, Marlon Wayans, Lewis Black, Steve-O, Jim Norton and Todd Barry. LaughSpin reports that these comedians have partnered up with HeadCount, a non-partisan voter registration organization, and Rockster Productions to spread the word.  Each comedian involved will post a picture of themselves with a sign that says “Register to Vote Here” on their Facebook and/or Twitter pages tomorrow.  People who want to register can then click a link that will take them straight to the online registration form.

LaughSpin also states that more than 200 comedians will be a part of the campaign tomorrow and have a combined total of more than 100 million followers.

If you are not yet registered to vote, you can be on the look out for these photos so that you can register through the provided links.

If you are registered, help to spread the word and share the photos with the official hashtag #925NVRD.
