New Doug Stanhope Special to Premiere on Showtime

I don’t need to start off this story by telling you who Doug Stanhope is, do I? If so, then what are you doing on a comedy website? Shouldn’t you be stumbling (whatever that is) or looking up porn at this point? For Christ sakes, the man is one of the most prolific stand-up comedians of our generation.

I had the astute pleasure of listening to his latest album, Before Turning the Gun on Myself, when it was released back in March (at number one on the Billboard comedy chart mind you).  Now I am very pleased to inform you that the filmed performance will be premiering on Showtime August 3^rd at 10 p.m. Thank God it’s appearing on a premium channel, that way we get the full raw, unedited Standhope, the way it’s meant to be.
