Steve Martin Endorses Senate Candidate in Strange Crafts Video

It’s been a while since Steve Martin has surfaced in the real world. Besides a few chuckle gusher tweets a week it seems as though Martin is much more concerned with his incredibly reputable banjo licks and rolls while he flocks in red-neck arcadia.

Martin isn’t, however, too great in the crafts arena. In this new video, he fumbles around while at the same time sending a strange endorsement for Bob Kerrey for Nebraska senator.

It may have been hard to break eye contact with the paper fumbling Martin and his classically famous and serious comic demeanor shtick of awkward foolery, but from the side of the video on plain white paper is a huge spiel about how great of a senator Kerrey would be.

Although he may not be the craftiest “Homes Craft Expert,” Martin is seemingly stepping into the realm of politics, light-heartedly of course.

It’s cool to see a comedian relinquishing the extremist persona that we’ve seen recently in political comedy and take a new silly slant. Leave it to Martin to leave viewers heads tilted and hands scratching.
