There is something about blooper reels that makes me laugh harder than anything else I watch.

Like the actors’ inability to stay in character, because the situation they’re in or the words coming out of their mouths are so unbelievable that they themselves have to step back and enjoy it. The result is that you end up laughing with them – hysterically.

Bloopers also give fans a cool perspective on the relationships between cast members. In “The Office” blooper reel below, Rainn Wilson and John Krasinski are heavily featured, and though their characters play rivals on the show, you can tell there’s a real friendship between the two actors.

I haven’t watched “The Office” religiously since Steve Carell left the show and I have only seen a couple episodes of season nine. But holy Christ, I feel like I owe the network a great deal for ending such a legendary show on an amazing finale. Inside jokes and loose ends that have dragged on for years are all tied up, and Carell makes a very special return.

The episode takes place a few months after the documentary has aired on Scranton PBS. Employees of Dunder Mifflin reconnect for a wrap up, town hall meeting, and for the camera crews to collect bonus DVD footage.

Dwight is getting married to Angela, Meredith’s son Jackie is a stripper, Andy has become a YouTube sensation and Erin finds her long lost parents. Creed, who’s been deathly afraid of any investigation into his past, is last seen in handcuffs after being on the run from police.

What can I say, there’s some heavy shit going on. People haven’t been on an emotional roller coaster like this since the seventh Harry Potter movie came out.

I could imagine someone who’s never seen the show watching this episode and loving it. The finale feels more like a feature than  anything else. After its nine long seasons, this “Office” finale will be a defining moment in TV history, right after Carell leaving in the episode “Goodbye, Michael.”

And yes, Michael Scott is back in the finale! But don’t expect the aloof Scott we all fell in love with. It’s more of a seasoned version of the man who turned “That’s what she said” into a cult phenomenon.

The season nine finale and the last episode of “The Office” ever ends with its fans in mind. All good things must come to an end. (I need a fucking drink).

Can I just have my diva moment for a second?

First of all, if you don’t know who John Mulaney is, I’d like you to take $20 from me, buy yourself a shovel, dig a huge pit and then throw yourself into it. I’ll throw in a rope if you promise to watch all his stand-up. If not, it’s cool. I’ll just let you lie in the pit while I play his stand-up on full blast, and you will have nowhere else to go.

Okay, if you didn’t know who John Mulaney is, he is a stand-up comedian and was solid backstage anchor for the Saturday Night Live writing staff, creating classic characters, like your favorite New York City correspondent, Stefon.

Recently, Mulaney filmed a pilot for a new Mulaney-based sitcom, called “Mulaney.” But guess what? NBC didn’t pick it up. Which raises the simple question: HOW CAN ANYONE NOT WANT TO SEE HIS TV SHOW?!

Allow me to explain why I’m having a virtual meltdown.

First of all, it’s got John Mulaney. And second of all… Do we need a second of all? It’s got John Mulaney in it!

But for the nitpickers, there’s also Elliott Gould (you might know him from the “Ocean’s Eleven” trilogy, but  you definitely know him as Jack Geller, Monica’s father on “Friends“), Martin Short, SNL’s Nasim Pedrad and stand-up comedians Griffin Newman and Seaton Smith. And, can you guess who the executive producer is? It’s SNL’s producer, Lorne Michaels.

NBC, are you joking? You’re messing with my head, aren’t you?

OK, NBC, listen up. You have one the best writers from SNL, an amazing cast and – the winning cherry on top – LORNE MICHAELS! Do you need me to stress how you could never make a wrong move with this kind of a combination!

We all had a feeling this would happen, right?

Comedian Whitney Cummings, writer and star of the NBC sitcom “Whitney,”  has had her show cancelled after just two seasons. The show debuted to 7 million weekly viewers, but dipped to just 4 million as the seasons went on.

Behind the scenes, a show runner change was made, and a cast member departed. NBC held on tightly to “Whitney,” moving it to Fridays, keeping it around in case one of their new sitcoms failed – basically performing the TV equivalent of CPR on a dead person.

In March, its second season ended with less than three million weekly viewers.

But here’s the silver lining: Whitney isn’t a clean comic in my opinion. She needs the freedom to drop a C word every now and then. She’s got a cold side to her. She’d be great at roasts. Cummings deserves another shot on her talent and sex appeal alone, preferably on HBO.

As for Chris D’Elia, no one can confirm if this photo was a reaction to the news, but chances are he’ll be on vacation for a while.

Most people know the humorous Creed Bratton from NBC’s “The Office” where he plays a character of the same name — just much stranger.

“I’m not offended by homosexuality,” Creed stated on an episode called ‘The Gay Witch Hunt’. ”In the ’60s, I made love to many, many women, often outdoors, in the mud and the rain, and it’s possible a man slipped in. There would be no way of knowing.”

Yep, he was a part of that.

Even though the 60′s band didn’t last forever, Bratton’s verve in music continues passionately to this day. His band now, the Rubbermen, released their sixth album titled “Tell Me About It” last month. What’s cool about the album is that it is “told” in three acts and is called an “audio-biography”.

It didn’t take only rumors for “The Office” fans to feel like a Michael Scott reunion was owed for the show’s final episode.

After Mindy Kaling’s appearance on the “Late Show” with David Letterman, speculation about Steve Carell’s return began to swirl when Kaling refused to answer outright whether or not Carell would be in the finale. She whined about being bound to a strict NBC contract, as Letterman grilled her for answers.

Well, sorry guys, Carell will not be making a cameo as Michael Scott on “The Office” finale, according to the show’s creator Greg Daniels.

“I think Steve felt, and I agree, that the ‘Goodbye, Michael’ episode was his goodbye and he didn’t want to overshadow the ending that all the other characters deserved,” Daniels said.

Although Carell won’t be making any cameos, both B.J. Novak and Kaling will be reappearing on the show as Ryan Howard and Kelly Kapoor.

The finale will include a documentary reunion, which is basically a panel of all “The Office” characters explaining how their lives changed after their documentary was aired on Scranton PBS.

NBC officially described the final episode of “The Office” with this teaser: “Months after the airing of the documentary, the workers of Dunder Mifflin, past and present, gather for a wedding and a final round of interviews. Mysteries are solved, hatchets are buried, pranks are prunked.”

The show’s finale will air May 16 at 9 p.m. on NBC and will be a one-hour special.

ABC’s surprise hit reality show “Splash” (not to be confused with NBC’s flop musical show “Smash” #Burn) is kind of a ridiculous concept.  With a similar model to that of “Dancing With the Stars,” celebrities are coached by Olympic gold medalist Greg Louganis for this diving competition.  Among its contestants was comedian Louie Anderson, who sadly was eliminated last night with the lowest score, a 5.75.

Despite hardships throughout the diving competition, Anderson was very upset by his elimination.  In his final words, he spoke of “Splash” saying, “This is something that has changed my life and this is not my last dive. This is my first step into a brand new life.”

Just two weeks ago, Anderson had sustained an injury during a miscalculated back flip, and was worried he might need to leave “Splash” for health reasons.  When asked what it would mean if he had to drop out of the competition, Anderson became very emotional and responded, “It would crush me.”

So it must have been quite a shock for him to be eliminated, despite pulling through and making a recovery. Check out his interview from a few weeks ago with Access Hollywood about his injury.

We all know that one person who’s been doing 10 hour work days for the last 40 years, and they always talk about retiring but the idea of them sitting around doing nothing just doesn’t seem like a possibility.

Well that’s Jay Leno. Being a popular late night host is hard to walk away from. Even harder is being a comedian and knowing you’re wanted – needed – somewhere, and then turning that down.

FOX is reportedly going after Leno when he “retires” in 2014. And it makes perfect sense.  Fox’s network programming isn’t necessarily left or right politically, but I’m sure the majority of their fans are either middle of the road or lean right.

It could provide for some nice “counter programming” as Rupert Murdoch calls it. They have always been a little blue collar, with shows like “King of the Hill,” and adding Leno and his muscle car obsession kind of fits in.

Jay has always been “something of an enigma when it comes to politics. ” He doesn’t let his true colors fly the way Letterman does, although Jay said he’s never voted republican before.

“I’m not conservative. I’ve never voted that way in my life.”

Leno is truly turning into Bruce Willis from Die Hard – he just won’t quit. If Leno’s move to FOX gives Dave more material, I’m all for it. Honestly, I hope the war never ends!

Jerry Springer meets Johnny Carson when the infamous curly headed ass-hat Howard Stern makes his first permanent hosting appearance on the Late Night show. It will be trashy, it will be classy and it will be entertaining as hell.

In lieu of last week’s news that Jimmy Fallon will take the place of predecessor and talk show demigod Jay Leno as host of one of the most prestigious and legendary late night talk shows in 2014, The Tonight Show, fans wondered who the next schmoe was filling Fallon’s Late Night hosting spot.

New York Post’s TV critic Lisa Staci believes that NBC was “grooming” Stern for the hosting position all along.

“Sure, Stern loves the judging gig on ‘America’s Got Talent,’ but even Piers Morgan and Sharon Osbourne could take just so much of extreme cyclists and dog acts. I never figured it was really about that for Stern — it was about creating a Howard that was palatable for TV,” Staci writes.

It seems like everything is on hush mode until the day comes because NBC is persistently denying the story, or maybe everyone is just overzealous and it’s not going to happen.

Maybe this is why Stern took a stint with the America’s Got Talent camp, practice and preparation for a more mass suitable and charming persona to make way in the world of network television.

As most people probably don’t know, The Office will be coming to it’s last episode ever on May 16, airing from 9 to 10 pm ET (yeah I know, I thought the show ended when Carell left too).

Although it should have ended years ago, the latent end of The Office could be a miracle for creepy guys like me who have a sick obsession with Ellie Kemper, and started watching The Office again because we thought we could smoke enough weed to be able to see through Erin’s clothes.

So yeah, pervy nineteen-year-olds with exquisite tastes for fictional office secretary’s from sitcoms are pretty ecstatic about Kemper’s new show on NBC called Brenda Forever.

It’s going to be a feel-good single-cam comedy show that time warps between the main character Brenda’s childhood as a spunky fat chick, and the present where she’s a very attractive 30-something-year-old with a good personality.
