Was Ken Marino Arrested for Punching Nick Kroll?

Twitter has been blowing up with tweets from Ken Marino about his violent attack on Nick Kroll.  But was it real?

Marino and Kroll are costars on FX’s The League and were on set filming the new season.  During filming, Marino began tweeting about a fight he had with Kroll, keeping his followers thoroughly entertained.  Which leads one to think the fight was staged.

A.V. Club reported that Marino kept followers informed throughout the entire altercation, even while talking to LAPD and after being arrested.  Marino even tweeted that an officer was a fan of his former TV show, Party Down, and was letting him get away with using his phone in the squad car.

Marino had a variety of tweets describing the altercation.  There were tweets telling Kroll to “man up”, and some were apologetic, while others described his anger at being made the perpetrator of the incident.  There were tweets from Paul Scheer, Michael Ian Black, and the official League account discussing their views of the fight between Marino and Kroll, LaughSpin reported.

“We’re a low budget show. We don’t have an extra $2500 for bail. Sorry @KenMarino #baduseofonephonecallfromjail,” The League account tweeted.

Even though Marino tweeted a picture of his bloodied hand, all signs point to the fight being staged and a possible marketing ploy for the new season of The League.

What do you think, was it real or was it all a hoax?  Check out Marino’s Twitter page and decide for yourself!
