Wayne Brady Apologizes for Roast Joke about Trig Palin

Wayne Brady has long-since been known as a very accessible and appropriate comic. He is best known for his improvisational work on Whose Line is it Anyway and his hosting role on Let’s Make a Deal. But last week, Brady’s squeaky clean reputation took a drastic turn for the worse.
On Comedy Central’s Roast of Roseanne Barr, Brady joked about his fellow roasters. Specifically, Brady targeted comic Jeff Ross. Watch the video below for the real deal. Brady states, “A lot of people hate you, especially Sarah Palin, because you remind her of what Trig’s gonna look like when he’s 40.”
Brady has since received a lot of backlash for the joke. On Friday, Brady issued an apology on his Facebook page to let all of those who were negatively affected by the joke know that he was sorry. Here is some of what Brady had to say:
“The Jeff joke was written for me and at the end of the day I take full responsibility for saying it… I could defend it as a performer, but I would rather apologize from the bottom of my heart as a father. I understand how a parent… would take offense… To the Palins, please know that no malice or harm was meant. To the other families who were touched negatively, I hope you’ll be able to accept this apology as well.”
