Talk about one busy lady…she stars in NBC’s Whitney, is a co-producer on CBS’ hit comedy 2 Broke Girls and now we can add to the list talk show host.
E! has announced it has picked up a new weekly talk show featuring Cummings, titled Love You, Mean It With Whitney Cummings, which will have her ripping on celebrities and pop culture. The half hour show will be produced by Chelsea Handler’s Borderline Amazing Productions and will be paired with The Soup on Wednesday nights at 10:30 p.m. later this year.
Cummings got recognition from being a regular on Handler’s late night talk show, Chelsea Lately, and it seems she will be going back to those roots with her new talk show. The main focus of the show will be on relationships, celebrities and pop culture and she will be joined by guests, fellow comedians and sidekick Julian McCullough.
“This show gives me a chance to get back to my stand-up roots,” said Cummings in a statement, adding, “And I’m really excited to be able to say (almost) whatever I’d like on TV again.”
Love You will be announced today at E!’s upfront presentation. Handler, Cummings and Tom Brunelle will all be executive producers.
